Experience
Dawn Kahle Doherty is engaged in a broad-based litigation practice with an emphasis on school law. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts in Texas, including one federal jury trial, as well as cases in other states, including Massachusetts and Louisiana.
She has represented the Dallas Independent School District in a variety of disputes ranging from contract issues to business and personal torts.
Ms. Doherty's experience includes:
- Representing the Dallas Independent School District.
- Insurance coverage and bad faith (including liability and property policies)
- Property insurance subrogation (typically involving underlying products liability or negligence claims)
- Breach of contract, breach of warranty, deceptive trade practices, and other business torts
- Construction litigation
- Commercial contract litigation

Ms. Doherty is admitted to practice before the highest state courts of both Massachusetts and Texas, as well as federal courts including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
She is a member of the American, Texas, and Dallas Bar Associations.
